Intro to Acupuncture Workshop

Event Description: In this workshop, participants will learn about the benefits of acupuncture: what it is, what it treats and some theories on how it works. Participants will then relax on their mats while Theresa comes around and gives a personalized mini acupuncture session to each person. You will leave feeling grounded and relaxed. This is perfect for anyone looking to learn a little more about acupuncture and experience some of its stress-relieving benefits firsthand!

Cost:  $40.00.  Please bring your yoga mat and comfortable clothes that are loose from the knees & elbows down.

About the Presenter, Theresa Sparkes: Theresa is L.Ac is a licensed acupuncturist who practices in Oakland, NJ. She earned her undergraduate degree at Rutgers University and her Masters Level Certificate in Acupuncture from the Eastern School of Acupuncture in NJ. At the Eastern School, she studied three prominent styles of acupuncture. Her personal style is rooted in TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine), and she focuses her continuing education in the area of Sports Medicine Acupuncture. While acupuncture treats a variety of conditions, her areas of focus are pain management, anxiety and depression.
